Toyo Steel was founded in 1969. Based in Higashi-Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, it has been manufacturing steel toolboxes for over half a century. Currently, it continues to manufacture Japanese-made toolboxes, and its products are used not only in professional workplaces but also for a variety of purposes such as DIY, hobbies, stationery, and storage.
When discussing Toyo Steel, it is essential to remember that"A unique manufacturing technique that creates seamless toolboxes from a single sheet of steel."is.
For a typical metal box, one possible method is to cut, bend, and weld multiple sheets of metal together to create the shape.
However, Toyo Steel uses a "deep drawing" process, where a single sheet of steel is deeply drawn using a press machine, to form the box shape in one piece.
Therefore, there are no welded seams at the corners of the box.
Toyo Steel,The manufacturer that created the world's first seamless steel toolbox. This is the official explanation.
This structure is not just for aesthetic purposes.
The fewer seams make it more durable, and the rounded corners make it easier to handle.
Furthermore, it is necessary for its original purpose of carrying tools.Sturdy and durableIt is equipped with this.
And this ruggedness, typical of industrial products, has become a major appeal of Toyo Steel today.
It's not just for storing tools.
More and more people are using toolboxes as "boxes to put whatever you like, however you like," for stationery, sewing supplies, camera equipment, cosmetics, hobby tools, and more. The official website also suggests toolboxes as storage tools that can be used in various aspects of daily life.
Its simple design has been well-received overseas, including in America.MoMA Design StoreThey are also sold at places like [mention specific retailers/stores]. Originally created as industrial products for professionals, they are now also used as stylish everyday items.
Furthermore, Toyo Steel places great importance on the very act of using products for a long time.
Steel products develop scratches and signs of aging with use, which adds to the character of the tool.
Instead of "constantly buying new things to replace them,"Use durable items for a long time.
This also aligns with Toyo Steel's concept of "sustainable choices."
Currently, in addition to traditional mountain-shaped and trunk-shaped toolboxes, we also offer new styles of products such as "ARCHE," which is easy to use around a desk, and "KONSTELLA," which is designed with portability in mind.
Don't be limited by the name "toolbox"; put your favorite things in it and use it for a long time.
Toyo Steel is a manufacturer that allows you to enjoy both the robustness of industrial products and the simple beauty that comes from Japanese craftsmanship.
